Co-founder of the Rivertowns Table Tennis Club, the predecessor of the Westchester TTC, Stefan Kanfer was a longtime writer/editor for Time magazine and the author of best-selling biographies of Marlon Brando, Lucille Ball, Groucho Marx, and other celebrities. Twelve schools — Brandeis, Brooklyn, Brown, Columbia, FIT, MIT, Northeastern, NYU, Rutgers, SUNY Stonybrook, Tufts, and Yale — competed in the Northeast NCTTA Championship on March 10-11. On Sunday, March 4, eight members of the Madison (NJ) 'Y' TTC came to Westchester for a friendly interclub competition. All players were rated 1700-2050. Seven-time table tennis Olympian Zoran Primorac, from Croatia, led two 90-minute training clinics at the club on Sunday, June 18, 2017.
